The Project Manager II, Project Management position is responsible for the successful completion of Information Technology (IT) projects. The project lifecycle must be adhered to facilitate project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control and project closure.
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining project artifacts including, such as: charter, schedule, risk register, status reporting, project acceptance criteria, and lessons learned. Requirements, identification, issues management and solution validation are also mandatory skills. This position will manage both business facing and internal JIS projects. Based on workload capacity, additional ad-hoc IT projects will be assigned as needed.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Five (5) years of professional experience in establishing project scope, creating project schedules, monitoring budgets, assessing project risks, creating business process automation, system development, conducting data quality analyses, or configuring and implementing processes.
Certifications and Experience preferred:
Project Management (PMP) certification.
Able to make associations between the Information Security Policy and the project management process
Familiar with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the Center for Internet Security - Critical Security Controls
Understands the components of a security risk assessment
Able to facilitate technical conversations between Information Technology teams while conveying the benefits of incorporating security into the overall goals and objectives
Note:
Professional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication.
Places confidentiality, integrity and availability at the forefront of all tasks
Ability to work in a matrixed organization to align resources toward project deliverables.
Knowledge and ability to utilize standards and guidelines relative to SDLC.
Must have demonstrated experience managing complex IT projects (e.g., system migration, data conversions, implementations, software development, third party implementations).
Must be highly organized. Must keep track of multiple projects, requirements, action items and follow through to task closure.
Business process analysis skills.
Must be detailed oriented.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
Data review and data migration skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects and objectives.
Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
PMP preferred.
