Job Description:
The Medical Assistant position will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Diabetes Education. This position will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently is essential. This is a 4 day a week/36hr position.
Position Requirements:
Education: Associate Degree in a Medical Assistant Program required.
Experience: 6 months experience and/or training in a medical office preferred.
Certifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Certification as Medication Aide from the State of Nebraska required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) with a recommended renewal date to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
