Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center is a 5 Star Facility that has been deeply rooted in the MetroWest community for over 25 years with a reputation for providing high quality care. This facility is situated in a beautiful setting with modern updates to the property and state of the art short term rehab unit and therapy gym.

Summary

To provide direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. Participates in the clinical team process. Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff, patients and families. Participates in clinical program development.

Essential Job Functions: Responsibilities and Standards

• Under a physicians order, provides direct treatment to patients as directed by and according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Contributes to the interdisciplinary team meeting/process.
• Documents patient progress toward meeting established goals as stated in the treatment plan outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides training to patients, caregivers and families according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Completes documentation of direct treatment according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising PT.
• Maintains productivity expectations on an ongoing basis.
• Demonstrates consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Promotes positive customer relations.
• Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, care givers, visitors, physicians, administrators and other team members.
• Delivers services in compliance with the facilities ethical standards, policy and procedures, national professional standards, state practice acts where applicable, and current accepted state of the art practice.
• Other: Tasks and duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Manger or Administrator as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

• Associates Degree from an APTA accredited program and current professional licensure in state of hire.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to function efficiently in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Utilizes effective time managements skills.
