Description :

Under supervision of the Administrator of the facility, the van driver is responsible for operating the facility van in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or G.E.D

Licensed driver in the state

Experience driver 5 years minimum as a licensed driver

Minimum 25 years old

Duties include (but not limited to) :

Provide safe and efficient transportation

Transport residents to appointments at scheduled times

Stay with residents as needed at appointments

Make / modify appointments as needed

Conduct a pre-trip inspection of the van and post trip inspection

Fuel van as necessary

Monitor for vehicle maintenance needed

Provide services in a courteous and respectful manner

Physical demands lifting and guiding wheelchair passengers onto the wheelchair lift and properly securing them. Drivers will need to bend, stoop, crouch, and a physical lifting of 50 lbs
