Procurement Specialist PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This position will provide recordkeeping, material ordering and planning services in an effective manner for the Procurement Department. Responsible for providing purchasing value to the business units considering cost-to use, quality, and service provided. Job Responsibilities Include: Issuance of Purchase Orders in a timely, efficient manner. Primary contact between company and outside material providers. Facilitate problem resolution between supplier and business unit on issues such as damaged material, warranty repairs, expediting material to meet schedule, etc. Ensure compliance with all procurement practices for the purchases of material, which includes bidding thresholds, bid waivers, approvals and other documentation required. Work with Accounts Payable on closing of Purchase orders, adjusting material groups, adding new vendors, etc. Assist business unit with bid packages for required material. Facilitate and negotiate all material bids over $500,000 Understand and apply the applicable terms and conditions to the purchase order for the requested Scope of Work. Provide diligent follow up on open items and communicate regularly to all involved on the material status. Identify saving opportunities for Company through bidding, negotiation and avoidances or identification of new supplier. Job Qualification: 5 years ‘experience in materials or purchasing or related discipline preferable in a refinery or chemical plant environment Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Finance, Accounting or Business Position-Specific Requirements: Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
