POSITION TITLE: Delivery Driver
PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to ensure timely delivery of foodservice goods to predetermined customers on specific routes in the Midwest states.
DEPARTMENT: Fleet
REPORTS TO: Fleet Manager
PAYRATE: $18.00 - $20.00 HOURS/SCHEDULE: Full-Time,
Monday-Friday Start 5:00am Saturday Start 5:00am
DRESS CODE: Steel toe boots, Martin Produce Uniform
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes and on-time schedule
Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher and/or sales reps
Unload goods as per company’s specifications
Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs and adjust receipts as needed
Collect and record payments
Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
Provide exceptional customer service
Complete inspections, logs and reports on time
Follow state regulations and safety standards
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Driving License
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Have minimum 6 months driving experience
Basic math skills
Work in fast paced environment
Detail oriented
Excellent organization and communication skills
Exceptional customer skills
Clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift more than 80 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time as well as crouch, step, and kneel
Work in extreme temperature
Availability to travel out state
Available to work 40-55 hours per week
Available on-call, and on weekends
