The Product Engineer performs design work using SolidWorks Modeling and conducts FEA Analysis. In addition, this role analyzes relevant product/material relationship of products and applies methods of testing, design, and manufacturing of the assigned products. 

Essential Functions:

• Performs design work of considerable difficulty for new and existing products using SolidWorks Modeling and FEA analysis.
• Recommends relevant product/material relationships for the development of new products or the improvement of existing products. Perform studies, analyses and make recommendations on current and future products.
• Apply methods for testing, design, and manufacturing of new products or improvement of existing products. Perform prototype testing, field studies, and analysis for new and existing products.
• Collaborate and work as a team with Product Development Engineers, CFI Staff, and Business Unit Personnel as needed to develop new products and improve existing products.
• Evaluate competitor products for performance comparison with Martin Products.
• Documents all test data recorded through appropriate testing procedures and reports; documents or revises the ISO 9001 procedures to ensure compliance with established standards.

Education & Experience:

• Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Three years prior work experience preferred.
• Four years experience/training in SolidWorks and Mathcad preferred.
• Two years experience/training in data acquisition equipment/software preferred.
• Four years experience in numeric modeling techniques such as FEA,DEM,CFD or other numeric modeling packages preferred.
