MARSHALLTOWN Company has an opportunity for an attorney to work as our lead General Counsel at the Marshalltown, Iowa facility.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Draft or review contracts and other legal documents or correspondence
• Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel on trademarks, patents, product liability and other legal matters
• Review and research potential acquisition candidates
• Write documents for acquisitions and work with the team to develop the plan to onboard the new company and then help implement it
• Work closely with Human Resources regarding labor and employment law and government compliance
• Maintain records required for legal matters and projects
• Maintain corporate and shareholder records to support corporate activity
• Draft correspondence related to shareholder activity
• Routinely handle confidential work for the President and other executive management

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• Juris Doctorate and 10 years of experience in employment law, litigation, intellectual property, product liability, and government compliance

• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
• Highly skilled at writing business and legal documents
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
