The Millwork Design Manager will be responsible for working with our internal and 3rd party design teams in developing standard fixture and millwork libraries for all formats which achieve the design intent in the most cost optimal manner to support an overall 20% reduction in construction costs.

What You'll Do

• Oversees the development of standard fixture and millwork libraries for all concept formats in partnership with the Creative Store Design, Visual Merchandising, and Operations teams
• Develops hardware
• Routinely reviews all fixture designs in partnership with fixture vendors to develop cost savings initiatives both through design and strategic procurement
• Review and approves all millwork shop drawing standards to ensure consistent quality and value are being achieved
• Review change orders from millwork vendors to validate all cost escalation and proactively works with vendors to identify options to mitigate and avoidable added costs
• Works with personnel across multiple departments to gather and collate fixture and millwork design feedback and updates standards library to reflect any approved changes
• Develops detailed millwork and fixture design packages in partnership with Creative Store Design team
• Completes QC check and markup of and custom millwork shop drawings for all projects with bespoke millwork or fixturing
• Prepares comprehensive list of value engineering options for millwork and fixture packages
• Ensures cost control is maintained through the fixture design development process to ensure conceptual design intent is maintained in as economical a manner as possible
• Oversees the prototype development and approval of all new standard fixtures being incorporated into project standards library
• Responsible for ensuring shop drawings are submitted to the Project Manager for all MRG projects
• Supports Project Manager in responding to RFI’s from contractors regarding millwork and fixtures
• Assists the Project Manager with securing As-Built drawings post project completion from millworkers in the event they are required
