Position Overview:

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) role at Marshall Pediatric Therapy involves leading staff in providing exemplary Positive Behavior Support services to children. The BCBA both models and trains others in the practice and methodology of Positive Behavior Support services and tends to the performance and growth of all team members at Marshall Pediatric Therapy.

Qualifications:

  • An Active Kentucky Behavior Analyst license.
  • Approximately one (1) year of experience working with a pediatric population.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team-based atmosphere
  • Motivated to meet productivity targets and contribute to company growth
  • Solid work history and consistent attendance
  • Ability to effectively & professionally communicate verbally and in documentation
  • Experience with or desire to learn Telehealth
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment

Accountability and Performance Measures:

  • Performs chart reviews and evaluations as needed to maintain an agreed-upon patient caseload
  • Evaluates patients for therapy and assess the need for services; complete evaluation reports and any additional work including the development of a functional behavior analysis (FBA)and goals within 48-72 hours of the evaluation
  • Performs therapy sessions as needed
  • Monitors restraint use and provides training to reduce
  • Monitors challenging behavior
  • Participates in Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees, as assigned
  • Writes treatment protocols and behavior support plans
  • Oversees a team of RBTs including regular supervision of treatment, ongoing training, support and mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations (informal and formal)
  • Provides supervision and oversight to apprentices/individuals pursuing certification
  • Maintains patient confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Educated and knowledgeable on the latest diagnoses and treatments
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with families, colleagues, referral sources, and community agencies
  • Refers children for additional therapies within Marshall Pediatric Therapy when necessary
  • Refers children back to the referring physician for additional testing/recommendations
  • Adheres to the ethical code provided by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
