The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.Responsibilities include, but not limited to: answering the phone, making patient appointments, assembling charts, faxing, scanning into patient charts and taking and forwarding messages for clinical staff and entering appropriate patient demographic information.
Office receptionists function under the supervision of the office manager.
EducationEducation/Licensure/Certification/Experience/Skills RequirementsHigh School Education.
One year previous experience working in physician office setting (preferred).
Previous experience with word processing, and physician office billing software recommended.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent ability to work with the public.
