Marshall Health is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Marshall Family Medicine Near Huntington, WV
- Works with Clinical Pharmacists, nurses, and medical staff to obtain prior authorizations for medications.
- Assists Pharmacists and medical team in appeals for prior authorizations.
- Communicates with patients, clinicians and medical providers in a clear and concise manner.
- Assists medical team in getting complete medication reconciliation.
- Assists patients with obtaining medication. Confirms ability to afford medication before leaving clinic and assists with financial support if needed.
- Tracks specialty medication including refills, compliance and reporting.
- Teaches, mentors and precepts technician students.
- Coordinates prescription filling with Pharmacy.
- Follows up on adherence issues.
- Works with healthcare team to maximize department ratings including Star measures, PCMH and MTM.
- Serves on committees as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in clinical patient care management preferred. Specialty medication experience preferred. Clinical Pharmacy experience preferred.
