Marshall & Associates is Hiring a Digital Designer-Photographer Near Chicago, IL

Marshall Associates Inc. (“MAI”) is a sales and marketing firm with a specialty in merchandising consumer goods in a variety of categories such as Lawn & Garden, Toys, Sporting Goods, and Furniture. The MAI sales & Marketing force, dispersed across the United States and parts of Canada, acts on behalf of specific manufacturers to serve as their direct sales & marketing force to national, regional, and local retailers. MAI is headquartered on Goose Island in Chicago, specialize in E-Commerce, Marketing, Tech Development and International Representation.

We have an immediate open position within our Creative team for a digital designer/photographer. This individual will need to be highly self-motivated, eager to learn, and have graphic design and photography experience.

Formal Requirements:

· 3-5 years of professional digital graphic design and product photography experience

· Strong online portfolio highlighting a wide range of design and photography skills

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, photography, or related field

Personal Skills:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage deadlines

· Quick thinker with experience working in fast-paced settings

· Poise and professionalism when interacting with management and customers

· Enthusiastic and a self-starter

· Team player with excellent collaboration skills

· Strong conceptual thinker with attention to detail

Ability to accept constructive criticism and make revisions accordingly

Technical Skills:

· Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

· Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

· Expert knowledge of layout and design with high attention to detail

· Professional graphic design experience for digital platforms, preferably for eCommerce

· Professional photography experience, preferably product or commercial photography

· Professional videography experience a plus, including product and marketing video production

Responsibilities:

· Manage graphic design projects from start to finish, including conceptualization, asset development, and editing

· Develop digital assets for eCommerce, including above-the-fold images, enhanced brand content, brand stores, paid advertisements, and more

· Manage photography projects from start to finish, including pre- and post-production

· Complete photography projects in both studio and on-location settings

· Conceptualize and develop design and photography solutions with minimal direction

· Provide new ideas and strategies to create an effective workflow

· Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define and deliver the most effective creative solutions

· Participate in brainstorming and high-level kickoff meetings to develop innovative solutions

· Stay up-to-date with current design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field

· Maintain and ensure visual brand consistency across projects

· Manage videography projects from start to finish in both studio and on-location settings is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $49,357.10 - $600,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
