Business Insurance Marketing Specialist

The Business Insurance Marketing Specialist is responsible for marketing large or complex accounts for new and renewal business to carriers as well as assisting in the client proposal preparation and presentation.

The Market Specialist will provide marketing and technical guidance to production teams.The position assures the business meets established eligibility guidelines;

complies with company and regulatory standards; and is processed within time and quality standards. This position is also responsible for carrying the organization’s reputation and professional manner of conducting business into dealing with colleagues, customers, and carriers in accordance with MMA’s Core Values.

We will count on you to :

  • Works closely with production teams to develop placement solutions to meet the needs of large or complex business insurance accounts
  • Conducts monthly meetings with producers and account managers to review upcoming renewals and develop a marketing / renewal strategy
  • Requests and prepares new business and renewal applications, including supplements to be submitted to carriers
  • Enters applicable rating information into the automated processing systems and quote new business as directed
  • Maintains strong working relationships with authorized carriers. Acts as a liaison to select carriers, meets with carrier representatives as needed and communicate carrier information as it pertains to pricing and products
  • Maintains and disseminates marketing trends, new coverage developments, carrier information
  • Supports authorized carrier directives and guidelines
  • Supports Client Team(s) as needed with complete and accurate data entry into Agency Management System
  • Provides back up support to production teams, assisting in managing workloads and workflows when necessary
  • Maintains established service and quality standards
  • Documents files in accordance with company guidelines
  • Executes surplus lines filings if necessary
  • Executes on the deliverables as communicated by the Client Team to include proposals, coverage comparisons, client marketing summaries, benchmarking

What you need to have :

  • 7 years prior experience in a marketing support role
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills
  • Acute attention to detail and sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with fellow colleagues
  • Works as a team member to achieve profit center goals and overall company goals
  • Solid negotiation skills strong feelings for attitudes, tone, and timing
  • Advanced application of prioritization & organizational skills
  • Advanced carrier relationships
  • Advanced industry and product knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced application in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and advanced proficiency in Excel
  • AMS Experience (Sagitta, ImageRight, AMS , EPIC, Indio)
  • Advanced understanding of tools (Reference Connect, Loss Forecaster, CAT Modeling, Mod Master)
  • Property & Causality license.
