The Real-time Communication team provides the networking and media frameworks for Group FaceTime, FaceTime, Sidecar, SharePlay, Phone Continuity and WiFi Calling. AMT provides the media foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, TV, HomePod, and Watch. Developing cutting-edge software techniques, AMT takes the media experience to the next level. We are looking for a passionate software quality engineer with a strong technical background and understanding of networking, video, and audio technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and conducting Performance tests for FaceTime, Group FaceTime, AirPlay, Sidecar, SharePlay, Phone Continuity and WiFi Calling on iOS, macOS, tvOS, and WatchOS platforms. You will develop and maintain test plans, and carry out the testing across a variety of network topologies and in various different environments to ensure the highest video and audio performance in our features before they reach our customers' hands. Your focus will span a broad array of Real-Time Communication test areas focusing on performance testing and automation development.
Key Qualifications

• Scripting or Programming Experience (ie. Python, Objective-C, or Swift)
• Automation experience (creating or applying existing test automation frameworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Performance and functional testing experience
• Experience testing Video and/or VoIP applications is a plus
• Experience testing Video/Audio codecs is a plus

Description
You will work very closely with the Real-Time Communication development and cross-functional teams to ensure quality is of the highest level. You will also be creating & tracking high quality bug reports, triaging issues by closely working with developers, and reporting on project progress & risk analysis. Testing will be comprised of identifying and developing performance tools, performance testing and developing automation for performance testing. Automation will be key to this role's success. In addition to writing and maintaining a set of tests, you will also be responsible for driving fixes of many other critical performance tests run by cross-functional technology teams.
Education & Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109,012.79 and $189,500.00 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
