We are not your average veterinary clinic – we are passionate about animal well-being, and we go above and beyond to provide exceptional care to our furry patients.

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our front office team as a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of administrative and receptionist experience, along with a passion for working in a veterinary environment. This role will involve managing the front desk, interacting with clients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to contribute to veterinary assistant duties, providing support to the medical team as needed.

Our ideal candidate would have the availability to work some Saturdays from 8:00 – 2:00. We are offering both full and part time positions.

**Responsibilities:**

- Greet and welcome clients and their animal companions in a friendly and professional manner.

- Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments.

- Maintain client records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

- Process payments and handle financial transactions with attention to detail.

- Assist with basic veterinary procedures under the supervision of the medical team.

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and well-stocked.

- Assist with restraining animals and preparing them for examinations.

- Provide post-operative care instructions and medication administration guidelines to clients.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the reception and waiting areas.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience in administrative and receptionist roles is required.

- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related setting is strongly preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with clients and their pets.

- Pleasant, professional, and confident demeanor on the phone and face to face with clients

- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.

- Proficiency in computer systems and software for managing appointments and client information.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.

- Flexibility to assist with veterinary assistant duties as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary assistant training or certification is a plus.
