Marlin Manufacturing is seeking a Machine Setup and Operator to oversee, operate and set up molds/machines in our injection molding shop. This position reports to the Mold Shop Supervisor. About Marlin Manufacturing Marlin manufactures, services, and distributes temperature instrumentation for research and industrial applications. Our operating hours are 7am – 3:30pm. Our plant is clean and fully climate controlled (air conditioned all summer, heated in the winter). Possess mechanical understanding to perform mold changes on the machine
Have previous injection molding experience
Work independently and be dependable
Troubleshoot and repair machinery
Be familiar with measurements
Inspect parts produced by machinery to ensure a high level of quality control
Take direction from management and others
Multitask in order to get assigned jobs completed by due date
Utilize a computer and Arburg technology
Essential functions of the job include:
Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
Possess the physical capabilities to perform mold changes on the machine
Frequently lifting 5-50 lbs
Ability to take, read, and verify measurements
Good eyesight and good hand-eye coordination
Qualifications:
Molding (injection plastics) experience
Strong communication skills
Willing to work flexible hours to meet production
Previous machine operation experience, preferably on Arburg equipment.
Licenses Required: Candidate must have valid forklift license. Candidates without a valid license must be able to pass the certification test to obtain a license.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical/vocational degree or equivalent is preferred.
