Pay Rate: $30.00 (Entry level-DOE) - $37.50/hour (TOP)

SUMMARY: The position will provide one-on-one mental health counseling services to adults, children, teens as well as conduct group sessions for those effected by domestic violence abuse.
The Marjaree Mason Center is 24/7 operation and all employees, at any point of time, may be asked to perform other work duties from those normally assigned such as answering the hotline or working in the shelter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provide short-term, trauma-focused, counseling to adults, children, teens, and families (residential and non-residential);
- Maintain an average of 25-32 caseload/direct clinical hours per week;
- Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans;
- Providing crisis intervention services (assessment and management) and safety planning, with supervised consultation;
- Provide consultative and referral services with MMC staff and community agencies;
- Conduct assessments, therapeutic interviews, and counseling to assist individuals and families to gain insight into personal problems, define goals, plan action reflecting interests, abilities and needs.
- Assist clients to understand and overcome social and emotional problems;
- Collect, organize, and analyze information about individuals through use of interview, case history, observation techniques, professional sources and records;
- Daily preparation, maintenance of client records and documentation in accordance with law and standard of care in documentation;
- Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with Medi-cal county standards;
- Ensure that minimum productivity standards are met monthly;
- Ensure all evaluation procedures are being followed and implemented;
- Follow all legal and ethical guidelines within the designated licensure field. (CAMFT code of ethics, BBS laws, ACA Code of Ethics, etc, California Mandates)
- Attend clinical supervision meetings and other trainings as assigned by supervisor;
- Safeguard client’s security and confidentiality in the processing of all client data.
- Safeguard assets of the MMC, including merchandise and other assets;
- Work as a team and support the mission and goals of the agency and programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned; (included but not limited to reflective practice group, clinical presentations, etc)

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A Master’s degree in one of the following: Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Rehabilitation, or similar field of study;
- Must have current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as AMFT, APCC (Those falling within BBS “90-day rule” may be considered). All licenses and registrations must be in good standing;
- All must have updated personal liability insurance.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working children and/or adolescents in supportive services or counseling;
- Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child abuse, and crisis management.
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of current automobile insurance.
