Mariscos San Pedro is an upcoming Mexican seafood restaurant located in Pilsen by the owners of Taqueria Chingon, Obélix, and Le Bouchon set to open mid-June.
We are hosting an open call for all interested candidates on Wednesday & Thursday, May 22nd and 23rd, from 10am - 6pm!
The Pilsen community is a thriving center of culture and hospitality, and our hope is that the property at 18th & Allport is a beacon for that culture.
Mariscos San Pedro and sister concepts 16 On Center’s Punch House, Tack Room, and the renowned venue Thalia Hall continue to be a destination for fine people to gather around art, entertainment, and great food and beverage.
Position Summary
We are searching for experienced cooks to join our team, starting in early June. We are a group of passionate cooks who just want to cook delicious, thoughtful food for our guests.
We take ourselves seriously, but also pride ourselves on creating a work environment that is fun, balanced, and collaborative.
As we navigate the challenges of opening a restaurant together, we seek individuals who thrive under pressure and enjoy the camaraderie of a dedicated team.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Ensure all food preparation and cooking areas are clean and sanitized
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation throughout the cooking process
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demand
Assist with kitchen tasks such as dishwashing and cleaning as needed
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow instructions from management
Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Uphold high standards of professionalism and teamwork at all times.
Skills
Experience as a cook in a professional kitchen environment
Knowledge in Mexican cuisine and seafood is a HUGE plus
Strong passion for culinary arts and a dedication to delivering high-quality dishes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to learn new techniques
