Job description IN PERSON - NO REMOTE
A Brooklyn-based Radiology practice seeks a Medical Billing Assistant for immediate hire.
Requirements:-
Candidate should possess good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- MUST Have a minimum of 1 or more years of experience in posting payments, reading EOBs, follow up appeals and re-submission, and collection.
- Knowledge of the ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology and third-party pay or reimbursement policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, and pre-authorization. Credentialing requirements, a plus.
- Prior experience with insurance guidelines and regulations.
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and task oriented.
- Have strong computer skills in MS Office, Windows, and ADS Medics Premier a plus.
- Assist front office staff with booking appointments, checking-in patients, and general reception duties when necessary.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
