Overview:
Xtreme Tower Products is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your expertise in drafting and design will contribute to the successful completion of various projects.

Position Summary: Supports the Engineering Department through performing activities to provide information for the construction of engineering prototype marine accessories. Accumulates, records, and ensures completeness of technical data, including but not limited to, drawings, installation instructions, BOM’s, test reports, and release for manufacture documents.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Uses Solidworks to create 3D modeling and technical drawings

· Assists in the accumulation of data for manufacturing, such as drawings, BOM’s, ECN’s, and sign off sheets.

· Proto Book creation, review and updating.

· Organizing and filing of CAD files.

· Communicates project status to management.

· Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

· Adheres to all safety and housekeeping rules.

· Assists in the development of, and participates in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• High school degree with documented courses in SolidWorks and AutoCad required.
• Associates of Science in Engineering preferred.
• 4 years’ experience with SolidWorks, AutoCad, Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point required.
• Two to four years’ experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred.
• Task driven work ethic with leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask between projects.
• Work well with a variety of personalities in a cooperative team environment.

Job Qualifications and Skills cont:

• Ability to organize tasks and communicate with a variety of co-workers, customers, vendors and management.
• To use and understand a variety of measuring devices, metalworking manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
• Read, understand and produce engineering drawings.
• Perform algebraic calculations.
• Ability to fabricate and TIG weld aluminum pipe preferred.

Conditions and Equipment:

• Typical office environment, occasional plant environment which is temperature controlled during the winter and can be above 90 degrees in the summer.
• Computer capabilities, variety of hand tools and welding equipment.
• All functions can be performed with reasonable accommodations except for an ability to have sight corrected to driver license standards, for which the same safety concerns apply.
• Must be able to freely walk around and climb on and off of a variety of boats.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.03 - $26.44 per hour
