Job Details
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be involved in high-stakes litigation matters in the fields of commercial, civil, banking, financial services, real estate, intellectual property, land use and zoning. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of challenging and complex litigation matters in a supportive and collaborative environment. The role also provides an excellent opportunity for career progression, with the potential for significant client interaction and case management responsibility.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
2. Represent clients in a wide range of litigation matters including commercial, civil, banking, financial services, real estate, intellectual property, land use, and zoning.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of topics and synthesize the information for team members.
4. Collaborate with team members to devise the best litigation strategies.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide them with clear and concise advice and recommendations.
6. Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
7. Work on multiple cases concurrently, managing deadlines efficiently.
8. Participate in business development activities including legal presentations, writing articles, and attending networking events.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends that impact the firm's clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in the state.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on litigation, specifically in the areas of commercial, civil, banking, financial services, real estate, intellectual property, land use, and zoning.
4. Proven track record of managing complex litigation cases from start to finish.
5. Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other professionals.
9. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
10. Familiarity with hybrid work environments and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
