Purpose: Provide oversight and coordination to MCHWC’s grant activities. Understands and identifies gaps in organizational and program funding and actively collaborates with counterparts in Grant Office to search for new grant opportunities to address these gaps. Maintain relationships with program directors, managers, external grant managers and program officers of funding bodies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Proven track record securing grant funding and program management including, but not limited to, local and state government grants, federal funding requests, local grants, capacity building proposals, and funding requests to private and family foundations. Requires a minimum of three to four years’ experience in grant writing, administration and project management, as well as a direct program provision and/or management. Requires demonstrated working knowledge of grants and grant administration systems, processes, and budgeting. Ability to comprehend and make inferences from written material and systematically compile information to prepare reports; review the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards; communicate with strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to effectively interface and work with individuals within and outside of the organization; work effectively and collaborate with a variety of staff at all levels in the organization, governmental representatives, and foundation program officers. Must be highly proficient in Word and Excel.
Equipment/Machinery: Fax machine, copier, personal computer, telephone, calculator, Microsoft Word/Excel, EHR system, and other software as required.
