Description

Position: Ticket Office Sales Attendant (Must be 16 years or older)

Job Summary:

Assist Guest with the purchase of Paradise Pier day passes and single ride purchases. Reviews pre-ordered passes daily and prepares for daily operations. Must have cash handling skills and experience. Must be able to run and process credit card transactions. Provide information to guest of the entire Paradise Pier. Ticket office attendants may also be training on Birthday or other Parties and Events held at Paradise Pier or other venues on the property. Assists guest with questions regarding the purchase of, account summary or activity summary of their wrist band. Monitors and inspects all equipment and performs general maintenance to maintain a clean safe environment. Performs daily checks on equipment per company guidelines and reports all other problems to the Manager or Supervisor. Provides excellent guest service and seeks out guest in need of help. Stocks equipment according to Company Standards. Maintains equipment and working area cleanliness to include interior and exterior surfaces. Monitors event activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures. Monitors, reports and enforces the Paradise Pier rules and Dress Codes. Responsible for the overall smooth operations of the Paradise Pier; ensures a strong focus on an optimal Guest experience. Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Creates and maintains an atmosphere that induces guest to make Paradise Pier their entertainment choice on the Gulf Coast and maintains a high standard of Team Member relations at all times. Maintains a high quality property appearance at all times. Ensures efficient quality service. Remains in compliance with all department and company policies and procedures, internal controls and government relations. Adheres to department budget. May attend periodic meetings and training sessions. Welcomes and greets arriving and departing guests. Proactively provides our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations. Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards according to brand standards, including Quality Assurance Inspections and Guest Satisfaction Surveys.

Job Duties: Daily Operations

As the Ticket Office Attendant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant execution of Paradise Pier standards and policies.
  • Ensure excellent relations with guests and other team members.
  • Understand, comply with:
  • All Company policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • All federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
  • Understands and is proficient in all systems and tools to perform job duties.
  • Handle Guest complaints correctly and notify a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Ensure a high standard of service efficiency, sanitation, and training.
  • Greets and assists Guests efficiently and with a smile while processing transactions.
  • Complete required and ongoing training for the position.
  • Assist with training new Staff Members within department when applicable.
  • Assist in loss prevention by practicing proper security safeguards.
  • Prioritize and complete all assigned task, for maximum productively and efficiency.
  • Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct.
  • Use respectful language with guests, Team Members, Supervisors, and Managers at all times.
  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations to avoid danger to self, Team Members, and Guests; remain calm at all times.
  • Notify manager/supervisor of low inventory.
  • Understand, comply with, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • If Applicable, use proper ordering procedures to maintain appropriate par levels of all merchandise-related products.
  • Conducts merchandise inventory during and at the end of shift.
  • Communicate and establish rapport with Guests.
  • Enforces proper dress codes, height requirements and behavior throughout the Pier and Resort in a professional guest friendly manner.
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and computer systems and be able to explain the use of all games, attractions, equipment and rules to our guest.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and new games, related equipment and attractions.
  • Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program; report any accidents.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

  • At least 16 years of age
  • 1 year experience in guest service preferred or working in some aspect: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent reading, writing, mathematical skills must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and have great communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
  • Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgment and decision making abilities.
  • Cash handling skills

 

Physical Requirements:

On a continuous basis, stand or sit for long periods of time, intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies, perform simple grasping and fine manipulation; use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.

  • The incumbent should be able to stand continuously for entire shift.
  • Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly. Long hours sometimes may be required. Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from lower to higher position or higher to lower position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position and be able to grasp objects while bending, stooping, standing, sitting or walking,
  • Will be required to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus both indoors and outdoors.
  • Occasional travel for training purposes or other business needs.
  • May be required to work, in a changing indoor and outdoor environment, such as bright sunlight, noise, wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, smoke etc.
  • Must poses sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, scanners general office equipment and mulita-line telephone.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers, guest, and members.
