- Responsible for ensuring all items are properly packaged and labeled for sale in accordance with the food production timeline
- Bakery Packaging: slicing/packaging bread, sweets, and savory items
- Kitchen Packaging: package and label all kitchen produced items
- Cheese: portion (cutting), wrap, package, and label cheese
- Meet daily market demands for multiple locations with a team that can grow
- Adheres to the production schedule and communicates with culinary director if unable to execute on time
- Consistently deliver the highest quality product demonstrating integrity in process and technique
- Responsible for department security and safety
- Monitors and maintains a maniacally clean and sanitary work environment
- Works with the culinary director to monitor equipment ensuring good working order and timely maintenance
- Maintains a professional and open line of communication with crew members
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with vendors, staff and crew members to create a fun work environment
- Thoughtfully considers advice and cooperates with recommendations made by managers and fellow crew members on actions designed to improve department operations and financial results
- Follows all Health Department standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Handles inherent work stress professionally and positively
- Must repeatedly lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
- Constant lifting and bending
- Constant repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers, and joints
- Repeatedly stoops, kneels, bends, balances, reaches, crawls, and crouches while performing work duties
- Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
- Able to display athletic attributes throughout each workday
- Packaging experience is preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

It all started in April of 2002 Thats when we first opened the doors to Marczyk Fine Foods. Pete Marczyk has always been passionate about great ingredients, but was frustrated at having to drive all over Denver to find them. One place for fish, another for meat, another for produce you get the picture. Pete raised the funds to start his market, hired the contractor, found the staff and filled the shelves with products Denver had never seen under one roof: sustainably raised beef, pork and lamb from family farms, unique and interesting Italian imports, old fashioned sodas, milk in glass bottles..., amazing Colorado-made products, and so much more. We are a neighborhood market where people can get great ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner or really excellent prepared food for an easy meal. We opened a second location in 2011 at the corner of Colfax and Fairfax, in a building that once was a Safeway store. Same great ingredients, plus a great, big kitchen to create all our prepared foods. In 2012 we celebrated our first stores 10 year anniversary. That same year Pete and Paul's long-time dream of starting an in-house bakery for fresh baguettes and sandwich breads came to fruition. Our special events, like summer burger nights, our Colfax anniversary clambake, and the fall pig roast continue to build community, and the Colorado offerings just get better and better. Stay tuned, because there's always something great being cooked up at Marczyk's!
