Marcum LLP is looking for a full time Regional Technician - End User Services (Desktop Support) with at least 1-2 years of related experience to provide onsite and remote support in their Los Angeles office. Occasional regional travel to other locations in California will be required. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this job opportunity.

This is an onsite, in-house position with full benefits, 401k and PTO.
The Regional Desktop Technician will be responsible for answering, commenting, and replying to open incidents within their specific region queues, replying to level 1/2 incidents, as well as providing extensive hands-on desktop support at sites within their region, and being involved in special projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of Level 1 / Level 2 desktop and phone/remote support experience in a Windows environment
  • Ability to identify and organize tickets according to priority and forward tickets to engineers and escalation techs
  • Strong aptitude in Windows OS (Windows 10 & 11); imaging is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the MS Office 2016 suite, including O365
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on desktops, laptops, printers
  • Experience providing remote support over the phone and using remote access tools (Dameware, RDP)
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of industry experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional level interpersonal and customer services skills to assist staff and executives, and the ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time to office locations within our California region
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including internships
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proficiency with supporting software applications including Microsoft Office and above and other software
  • Mobile phone/device support experience - MDM products, i.e. Intune/Microsoft Outlook on mobile is a plus
  • MS Teams support: including phone setup and troubleshooting, and chat and calendaring support.
  • Knowledge of computer logic and methodology to run computer systems
  • Conference room setup and support experience
  • Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Ability to travel nationally

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide superb onsite and remote first call service to the regional/site end users, as well as answer tickets from other regions.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document Tier I application incidents and problems in the ticketing system
  • Identify and organize tickets according to priority
  • Distribute tickets to engineers and escalation technicians if unable to resolve in the service desk queue
  • Liaise with IT Engineering when needed to execute various tasks/projects
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and the IT department to resolve issues
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of all issues in their assigned office(s) and/or region
  • Ensure all inventory lists are up to date including computers, printers, copiers, mobile devices, etc.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of IT Configurations in their assigned office(s) and/or region
  • Keep IT Management informed and updated regarding open issues that have been escalated
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of all issues in their assigned office(s) and/or region

  • Ensure all inventory lists are up to date including computers, printers, copiers, mobile devices, etc.
  • Move equipment and setup workstations
  • Hardware repairs, spyware removal, virus removal, hardware/software troubleshooting, upgrades
  • Assist support staff with field work as needed.
  • Participate in projects and other types of work outside the scope of normal support
  • Participate in On Call rotations (weekday evenings and weekends)
  • Participate in Service Group Projects

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time to office locations within our California region.
