Engagement Coordinator
Location : Somerville, MA
Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Engagement Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement and possess a strong desire to help individuals in need.
Duties:
- Open and manage administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
-Answer and direct incoming calls
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Complete referral and eligibility forms
- Make appropriate referrals for ineligible individuals
- Collect occupancy feeds
- Enter data into the Homeless Management Information systems
- Maintain accurate records
- Oversee emergency food pantry activities
- Provide administrative support to senior staff
- Perform additional clerical duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish-English preferred)
-Strong Communication skills
-Ability to multitask
- Resourcefulness and independence
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards individuals in need
