Maples Industries, Inc. is Hiring a Freight Line Assembler - Shipping Dept Near Scottsboro, AL

Stacks boxes to prepare for shipping, occasionally label cases and prepare slip sheets for proper loading according to shipping instructions.

Essential Functions:

Occasionally affix shipping label to prepack cases, stack labeled cases onto conveyor belt, and slip sheets and/or pallets.
Build slips sheets to appropriate specifications for loading onto truck.
Scan slip sheets to truck as needed.
Reports any shortages to Lead or Supervisor.
Pallet jacks will be used continuously throughout the day to move material.
Ability to move inventory into staging area with pallet jack.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:

No prior experience or training. Ability to identify labels, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Bending is required. The employee frequently climbs stairs to different floor levels. Ability to maneuver pallet jack loaded with up to 200 pounds.
