Many Languages One Voice (MLOV), was founded in 2010, and our mission is to foster the leadership and greater civic participation of immigrants and refugees who do not speak English as a primary language. We believe an actively engaged community that challenges existing inequities by dominant power is key to achieving systemic change. Thus, we support our members’ leadership and amplify the voice of our most vulnerable members to find solutions to the systemic racial inequities that impact their lives.
Digital Literacy Instructor Assistant : The MLOV Digital Literacy Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and implementing lessons for our Digital Literacy Program. The program is 7-week long, twice per week, two hours per day, and is aimed at teaching basic digital literacy skills (computer functions, web browsing, email, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, etc.) to adults. Duties include delivering group instruction, providing 1 on 1 support during and outside of the session, goal setting with participants, and promoting participant goal accomplishments.
This is an hourly temporary position from March 2024 - December 2024, with the possibility of extension. Payment for this role is commensurable with experience and at least $25 per hour. Hours for this position are mostly evenings 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm twice per week, and prep and occasional team meetings at other times as needed.
