Manthei Wood Products, part of the Manthei group of businesses, is a family-owned industry leader in the hardwood veneer industry. We’re a mid-sized manufacturer located in northern Michigan with both hardwood veneer and hardwood plywood divisions and a hardwood specialty plywood facility in Wisconsin.
Growth is upon us and we are seeking a Quality Manager to make sure our products and services meet customer expectations. The Quality Manager will oversee quality control, ensuring products comply with standards and specifications. The role demands strong organizational skills, plus the ability to analyze data and collaborate well with team members and stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives.
Perform audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for corrective action.
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and components meet established quality standards.
Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
Train team members on quality control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services, ensuring that quality control processes are integrated into the development process.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to quality control, sharing knowledge and insights with team members and stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business.
5 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulation.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
