Manor Independent School District is Hiring a Human Capital Data Specialist Near MANOR, TX

Primary Purpose:

Receive, process, and maintain files and records for applicants and employees of the district. Monitor access to human resource records and maintains proper security and confidentiality. Input, maintain, audit, and process sensitive Human Resource Information System (HRIS) data. Act as payroll / finance office liaison. 

Qualifications/Certifications

High school diploma or GED;

Acceptable score on the district administered “Paraprofessional Test” or

48 hours college credit (preferred)

Experience:

Two years administrative / human resources / finance / data input experience, preferably in a public education environment. Experience with Skyward, Talent Ed, AESOP systems preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Input data and maintain records utilizing a variety of HRIS and finance software
  • Serve as the primary input of organization-wide data for current employees, new hires, onboarding, and personnel action requests.
  • Ensure timely implementation of database changes to ensure accurate payrolls.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain the implementation of internal and external procedures for improving manual and automated processing of personnel reports.
  • Work with HC staff to validate each request and the accurate completion of routing of each form based on Human Capital (HC) processes.
  • Act as a resource and guide for supervisors as it relates to HC data and positions.
  • Maintains impeccable records of change request approvals.
  • Ensures the highest level of accuracy for data entered in to HC data systems and financial systems to ensure successful data audits.
  • Audits data entry in HRIS on a regular basis to review data accuracy and compliance.
  • Acts as the initial escalation point for data corrections that are required in the financial (Skyward) database; escalates further if necessary and executes approved corrections.
  • Provides data support for Human Capital staff, all associate end-users, and members of senior management.
  • Plans and implements recordkeeping processes for permanent personnel records.
  • Creates standard or ad-hoc reports to ensure compliance with local state, and federal reporting guidelines.
  • Assists with the support of all aspects of Human Capital as it relates to data requests, including but not limited to data availability, feasibility of requests, ad-hoc reports, and technical support.
  • Adheres to organizational and department specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
  • Assists with criminal history background verification and data entry.
  • Assists with creating internal training tools and process manuals for staff to maximize effective use of the HC management system.
  • Maintain files for all employees and applicants, including receiving and routing of changes (e.g., name, address changes).
  • Enter new hire information; update employee information; and process separations in Skyward.
  • Track, maintain and run reports on historical data.
  • Assist with the purging of records and coordination of inactive HR records according to the district’s records and retention plan.
  • Compile pertinent data as needed when preparing various federal, state, and local reports.
  • Assist with employee relations. 
  • Assist with employee recruitment and retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to include by supervisor.
