Operator III – 2nd Shift (M-Th, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM)

This position is based at our Allen Plant location in Gastonia, NC

The Operator III will be responsible to set-up and operate press per appropriate work instruction. Will be assigned to a specific press but will be required to run any press in this area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain equipment according to requirements
• Interpret and apply specifications such as drawings, routings, etc.
• Maintain appropriate records such as PM logs, SPC, etc.
• Maintain production rate
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area
• Operate all equipment in accordance with safety requirements
• Ensure that quality standards are met
• Stop processes if quality or safety standards are not met
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• A minimum 2 years’ previous experience running presses

Required Skills:

• Must be able to use various measuring equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and data entry equipment
• Must successfully complete an assessment program
• Demonstrate ability to perform essential functions
• Ability to move heavy equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
