MANN HUMMEL is Hiring a Logistics Manager Near Gastonia, NC
- Develop and implement logistics and warehouse strategies in alignment with Mann Hummel standards and objectives
- Ensure appropriate safety regulations and guidelines are maintained for safe working environment
- Assist in warehouse layouts, marketplace development, time observations and continuous improvement events
- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization
- Provide daily management for supervisors and associates across all shifts
- Participate in the design and execution of logistics systems to efficiently collect and distribute material between multiple warehousing concepts and production work cells
- Assist in developing standard work for each position in assigned area
- Evaluate current material handling equipment for capacity analysis and optimizations
- Make suggestions and implement ideas to improve inventory accuracy, 5S, cost reductions and KPI attainment
- Perform all management functions to include employee selection, time and attendance, performance evaluations, coach, counsel and discipline, conflict resolution, participate in team building activities and conduct team meetings
- Work cross functionally with other departments to coordinate logistics activities and meet customer requirements
- Assist external and internal auditing
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8 years minimum warehousing or logistics experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment
- 5 years minimum supervisory or managerial experience
- 3 years’ experience using SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include some nights and weekends as required
- Project Management experience
- APICS Certification
- Six-Sigma Certification
