This is an on-site position at our Allen Plant in Gastonia, NC.

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installation
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC’s, industrial electrical and electronic control systems, and other related devices
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
• Documenting processes and maintaining service records in the CMMS System
• Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
• Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
• Must maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and participate in shop clean-up schedules and projects

• Have basic knowledge of O.S.H.A., State and Local codes
• Ability to repair defective parts in compliance with O.S.H.A., State and Local codes
• Ability to maintain appropriate records such as work orders, timesheets, etc.
• Ability to operate all maintenance equipment in accordance with safety requirements
• Root cause problem-solving and creative thinking
• Must be able to work independently with a sense of urgency as well as lead a small project team
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on knowledge in using MicroSoft Excel

• Experience working with SAP (or other ERP systems)
