MGF has an immediate opening in our Ocean Import Freight Department located at our office in Richmond, BC for a full time Ocean Import Coordinator.

Job Description

We are seeking a new team member that enjoys a fast-paced environment and is reliable, hardworking, that also has great professional phone etiquette along with organizational skills. Transportation industry experience is combined with a strong attention to detail make you excellent at what you do.

• Coordinate & follow up with Clients, Ocean Carriers, Terminals and Trucking and overseas partners to ensure on-time release and delivery of cargo
• Handling of shipping documents and prepare documentation for sorting & distribution of cargo
• Data Entry / Re-manifesting / eManifest Filing
• Follow up with CBSA on Cargo referred for Inspection / Examination
• Monitor cargo closely to meet deadlines and avoid delays
• Build strong relationships with service providers

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Decision making and problem-solving skills
• Time management and organizational skills while being a team player
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) in English.
• Experience, CIFFA certification or equivalent post-secondary education in the Transportation/Logistics industry preferred, but not required
• License/Certification: CIFFA Certification (preferred)
