Sustained by its 60 years of experience, Manitoulin developed the transportation knowledge that is relied on and trusted by clients in various industries.Job DescriptionDirects and coordinates activities of operations in the terminal to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel by performing the following duties:Loading, unloading and delivering freight.Completing all necessary paperwork and phone calls.Ensuring all trucks and equipment are in good operating condition. Understand customers’ needs, service those needs, and maintain and develop positive business relationships with customers.Coordinating and scheduling employee resources.Directly supervises few employees in the terminal.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Duties also include performing performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems.Support, enforce and model all health, safety & environmental rules, policies, procedures and government regulatory standards.
