Manhattan Road and Bridge is Hiring an Estimator Near Tulsa, OK

Manhattan Road & Bridge Company provides bridge and heavy infrastructure civil construction services throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Florida. We perform turn-key bridge, bridge repair, grading, surfacing, and pile-driving projects.

Our Corporate Office (Tulsa, Oklahoma) is currently seeking an Estimator to join our preconstruction and estimating staff. Qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree
  • Experience estimating projects in heavy civil or DOT industries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use take-off software (ie. AutoCAD, Agtek Earthwork, and Bluebeam, HCSS Plans), and familiarity with HCSS Heavy-Bid software (or similar) – preferred.

Summary of Position:

As an estimator, you will perform a variety of estimating and preconstruction duties; including but not limited to developing detailed cost estimates and procuring work for heavy civil construction projects. The estimator will also prepare budgets from cost estimates and participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts. In addition:

  • Quantity take-offs
  • Contract risk analysis
  • Subcontractor and vendor solicitation and coordination
  • Estimate preparation and bid-submission
  • Budget preparation and buyout
  • Assist with purchase order and subcontract production.
  • Organize estimate hand-offs and articulate bidding logic, strategy, and details to operations staff
  • Maintain accurate cost history database
  • Assist in change order preparation and negotiations alongside project management staff
