Job Summary:Works on routine calculations and drawings with some supervision and reviews engineering designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.Accountability and Duties:Ensures proposal protocol is followedMentors and assists with training other CAD staffAccurately completes CAD drawings using firm standardsCooperates with engineers, architects, planners, technicians, and draftspersons in the conduct of project activities. Performs basic calculations at the directions of design teamsAccurately completes improvement plans: grading, utility, paving, drainageCompletes drawing preparation in allotted timeframeWorks closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects for self, team members, and subordinatesPrepares and monitors project budgets Keeps supervisor informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional servicesProvides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basisRequired Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Valid driver’s license.Education and/or Experience:Associates degree or technical experience2 years applicable experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent oral and technical written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to design/engineer moderately difficult engineering projectsAvailable to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessaryAbility to make independent decisions within a general frameworkKnowledge of the industry and related softwareProficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, LDD and Microsoft OfficeMust be fluent in the English languagePhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
