Line Operator
Join Mancan Staffing in our search for skilled Bindery Stitcher and Perfect Bind Operators! We're seeking individuals experienced in operating Saddle Stitch or Perfect Bind machines for full-time positions in our pristine, climate-controlled facility.
The shifts are either Sunday night through Thursday night or Monday through Friday days with weekends possible based on customer demand.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Proficient in 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am, or 7am-7pm
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Strong communication abilities
- Excellent attendance record
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and intermediate math skills
- Ability to utilize hand tools for equipment setup and adjustment
- Capacity to thrive with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of occasional lifting up to 60 pounds
- Competency in reading machine blueprints and parts lists
- Comfortable with bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing or walking on cement floors
Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate Muller Martini Prima / Primera / Bravo or Goss SP2200 Pacesetter Saddlestitchers
- Set up and operate Kolbus Perfect Binders
- Ensure quality standards are met and production goals are achieved
- Provide supervision and guidance to a team of up to four individuals
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Inspect and properly label all required product samples
- Troubleshoot machine issues
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred : 2 years of previous printing experience in Saddle Stitching or Perfect Binding
