Job Information:

• This opportunity is for a full-time days position on the Neuro/Stroke unit
• The Stroke Coordinator will provide oversight and coordination of all elements of the Cerebrovascular and Neurosciences Program under the guidance and supervision of the CNO
• Plan, organize, educate, and evaluate patient care within the program and be compliant with the national guidelines for stroke management
• Will help to develop and maintain high quality, evidence-based care through education and training as well as initiating and overseeing stoke related accreditations
• Will support the MMHHS Cerebrovascular and Neurosciences Program stroke measures and guidelines
• Maintain a strong component of patient/family advocacy with day to day review and coordination of multidisciplinary services
• Under the guidance of the medical director and CNO will assist in implementation and operations of a TIA clinic as part of the MMHHS Cerebrovascular and Neurosciences Program.

Job Requirements:

• Current Florida State RN Licensure
• BSN, required
• BLS through American Heart Association
• ACLS through American Heart Association
• NIHSS Certification
• CNRN Certification
• ASLS Instructor Certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency/critical care/neuro nursing and in the care of stroke patients
• Program development, management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting standards
