Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for years.

Manatee Memorial Hospital offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs and has the only Pediatric Center in Manatee County.

This position reports to the Patient Services Manager. A High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED for this position. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic employee to enhance, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for our patients and guests.

The Healthcare Host / Hostess will maintain a positive and respectful relationship with team members, engage with guests in a professional, dignified manner, and inform management of potential service and product issues before they arise.

Usual Shift : 3 days a week; 6 : AM to 7 : PM

Job Overview : A High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED for this position. The Healthcare Host / Hostess is responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock.

Major responsibility includes taking patient meal orders, delivers carts to the correct floor or patient area, collects trays and placsd garbage and trash in designated containers and replenish floor stock with food and nutrition items,

Qualifications

Job Qualifications : Experience / Knowledge : High School Diploma or GED is required. Skills / Aptitude : Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, supervisors, managers, and all customers. Basic food-handling skills.

License / Qualifications Certifications : None. General Qualifications : Willingness to be open to learning and growing.

Maturity of judgment and behavior. Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance. Maintains a positive attitude.

Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful. Must comply with dress code requirements. Must be able to work weekdays, rotating weekends, and some holidays.

Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity. Physical Requirements : Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and / or pull, and lift up to pounds. Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location) : Generally, in an indoor setting;

while performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat / cold during support of outside activities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
