We are seeking a Maintenance Lead for our client in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is a fast paced enviroment.
Highlights:
- Pay rate: $26.00 - $34.00/Hr. DOE
- 1st Shift Monday - Friday
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
- Interpret, install, and modify control systems, including programmable controllers and drives.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Maintain documents, prints, and schematics.
- Lead the Maintenance department and coordinate shop projects.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform building repairs, basic carpentry, and painting operations.
- Source suppliers, contractors, and parts, including submitting purchase orders.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Prior experience in the steel industry preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.
- Positive attitude, dependability, and strong work ethic.
