Making A Difference Foundation is Hiring a Delivery coordinator Near Tacoma, WA

The Logistics and Delivery Specialist provides support to Eloise's Cooking Pot Food Bank. MADF's Logistics and Deliver Specialist serves the ECP Food Bank Home Delivery Program through coordination and management of delivery services, mobile food bank, grocery rescue, preparing meal boxes, setting up new clients in organization system and and training of new volunteers to help deliver food and prepare meal boxes.

Additionally, the Specialist serves to raise community awareness and support of the program, implement data evaluation and reporting strategies, and help us increase capacity to serve more clients in need.

This position also manages offsite and school food banks, along with doing logistic for donations.

Requirements

Qualification

  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong technology skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Enjoys excel spreadsheet work

Accountabilities

This position reports directly to the Director of Food Operations

Responsibilities : includes, but not limited to

  • Orchestrate delivery routes with organization delivery system coordination technology
  • Establish a strategy to increase delivery capacity to serve more clients
  • Liaison to offsite food bank, schools and other partner
  • Collect weekly paperwork for site
  • Coordinate grocery rescue program
  • Create delivery routes
  • Handle customer inquires
  • Leads volunteers, staff and AmeriCorps members

Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteer drivers

  • Responding to volunteer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Creating trainings for new volunteers & enrichment trainings for existing volunteers
  • Managing volunteer scheduling, including vehicles needed
  • Coordinate maintainance of delivery vehicles

Organize deliveries / pickups at the food bank

Supervise and manage :

  • Delivery drives
  • Route coordinator software system
  • Grocery rescue volunteers
