Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations
- Load and unload bread, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Route Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with courier operations and route driving is a plus
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
