Summary

  • Position Summary
    •  This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their assigned simulation program(s) and the associated physical space(s). Day-to-day operations includes but is not limited to: capacity analysis of resources, scheduling, and budgeting. As the administrative lead for their assigned simulation program(s), this person is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff performance while monitoring and measuring program quality. This individual will work with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual goals and customer objectives while leading their team through strategically aligned annual goal setting - monitoring, adjusting, and reporting as needed on progress towards those goals. This person partners with other leaders and stakeholders to operationalize the strategic vision of their assigned program and ensure alignment with overall departmental strategic vision.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, communications or related field required. Preferred: Graduate degree in related field.
    • License/Certifications: CHSE and/or CHSOS preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years in health care related work and experience working with a simulation program and/or standardized patient program.
    • Knowledge and understanding of relevant simulation methodology.
    • Demonstrated ability to formulate sound solutions, secure approvals and implement continuous quality improvement solutions.
    • Demonstrated analytical skills needed to independently diagnose and problem solve complex operational and programmatic deficits.
    • Demonstrated general understanding of healthcare simulation operations.
    • Demonstrated personnel management and supervisory skills, including an ability to mentor and coordinate work of team members.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills in leading individuals and groups through planning, work delivery processes and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of medical and administrative professionals.
