Unit Bio:
We are a 30 bed Pediatric Unit at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. We serve the children in the state of Maine from birth to young adulthood. From routine check-ups and immunizations, to the treatment 10/2022 NC of life-threatening illnesses and injuries, we provide comprehensive, family-centered healthcare for all of northern New England. Here, children receive care that’s as unique as they are. As Maine’s only full-service children’s hospital, we offer everything from well-child visits to specialized medical and surgical treatment of complex illnesses and injuries. We serve the children in the state of Maine from birth to young adulthood. We have over 20 sub-specialists of Pediatric Services. These range from oncology, general surgery, cardiology and many others. Prior pediatrics experience is preferred.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
