Job Summary: MaineGeneral Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology RN to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing exceptional patient care before, during, and after minimally invasive radiology procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure monitoring. Proficiency in using radiology equipment, administering sedation, and maintaining sterile environments is essential. Job Description: The Role: Interventional Radiology RN This is a diverse role working in a state-of-the-art facility with highly experienced teams, and a unique opportunity to work in specialty areas including Radiology and the Cardiac Cath-Lab. Position Highlights: This position is 32 hours per week on day shift NO weekends, NO call, and NO major holidays The Work: Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
