ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Exhibit passion and a commitment to helping all students learn at a high level.
Contribute to a school culture of appreciation, collegiality and innovation.
Utilize skills to be successful with intensive collaboration in a team-based approach to teaching and learning.
Create an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel they belong and are excited to learn.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of research-based Literacy and Mathematics instruction and assessment at the intermediate-elementary level, and the commitment to continue professional learning.
Experience with Teachers College workshop model highly preferred.
Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.
All other duties per teacher contract.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Elementary Education.
State of Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification in General Elementary.
Elementary level teaching experience preferred.
