ONSITE ONLY:

Optics Engineer

Reports to Chief Technology Officer

This position is in Sunrise, Fl and onsite only.

Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.

Pixels on Target is looking for an Optical Engineer who excels in problem-solving with light and optical technology. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-demand environment while effectively managing and completing projects on time.

The principal duties of an Optical Engineer typically include:

Design and Development : Create and develop optical systems and components such as lenses, lasers, fiber optics, and imaging systems.

Testing and Analysis : Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and quality of optical devices. Analyze the test data to make improvements.

Prototyping : Build prototypes of optical devices to evaluate their functionality and performance.

Simulation and Modeling : Use specialized software to simulate optical systems and predict their behavior under various conditions.

Integration : Work on integrating optical components with other systems, ensuring they work together seamlessly.

Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues related to optical systems and components.

Documentation : Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.

Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers, scientists, and technicians to develop interdisciplinary solutions.

Maintenance and Calibration : Establish procedures for maintaining and calibrating optical equipment to ensure precision and longevity.

Research and Innovation : Stay updated with the latest advancements in optical technology and contribute to the development of new products and solutions.

Compliance : Ensure all optical systems and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.

Training and Support : Provide training and technical support to other team members and stakeholders.

Required experience:

Master’s in physics or Optical Engineering or 3-5 years relevant professional experience.

Must be fluent in ZEMAX including ZPL macro development and use for complex analyses

Good communication and writing skills.
