Under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, the Lab Assistant II processes and handles specimens for testing in multiple Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory. You may be required to obtain blood specimens on patients of all ages by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques for laboratory analysis. The work you do here makes a tremendous impact!

Position: Lab Assistant II

Shift: 8 hours shifts between 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Weekends and holidays based on department need

Experience:

Minimum two years related working experience in an anatomic or clinical laboratory

Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred.

Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Licensures/Certifications:Certification as a Medical Assistant or related field preferred
